Life is Fragile

 Life is Fragile

Life is a candle flickering in the wind, the wind of Covid.

The wind wafts, the candle light quivers.

The blast blows, the fragile light all but goes out.

But a spark remains.

A glimmer of hope flares again.

The flame licks anew, fanned by hospital heroes.

Life now is fragile.

We all must cup our hands around the flame to staunch the treacherous winds.

Both for ourselves and for others.

We must get vaccinated, wear masks.

Stay safe and keep others safe.

It’s up to us.
