 Navigating Marriage

Marriage is a passage

Over sometimes angry seas.

It stays afloat with mindful navigation.

Range lights come to mind,

Lighting the way to safe harbor

Through dark, shoal water.

It takes two range lights to keep on course:

Two lights that, when in-line with the boat's heading,

Mark the way for safe passage through the reefs.

Marriage takes two lights, burning bright.

In troubled water, always aligned.
