Here’s my brief statement on war, utilizing phrases coined by Shakespeare. His
phrases are in parentheses.
“In my mind’s eye” both sides have at their core a “heart of gold.” But that’s “cold comfort” in this “brave new world” which “ beggars all description.” There’s nothing but “sound and fury.” For sure it’s “much ado about nothing,” a “fool’s paradise,” “a plague on both their houses.” They must return to love, for “love is blind,” the “milk of human kindness.”
