Rain!
Rain!
The god of rain came today
Rose surely from a Great Lake’s vast expanse
To form the swirling clouds above
No passing storm with light drizzle or quick downpour
But a slow, steady, soaking rain
Tapping the wilted green with a million drops
To awaken Earth from drowsy desiccation
Her thirst slaked, Earth exhaled a cool gust in gratitude
